Improving Your Relationships at Home and at Work, Part 2
Manage episode 440393261 series 3589555
This episode continues the discussion about healthy relationships and the skills we need to cultivate them. Our patterns are based on learned behavior and what we observed early in life. Sometimes, those patterns get in the way of effective communication, cause friction and derail our relationships. We may have difficulty managing our anger or coping with the anger of others. Once we become aware of our patterns and behaviors, we can learn new and healthier ways of listening, engaging and being in relationship. Dr. Heitler tells us that most relationships can be respectful and fulfilling if the parties are willing to do the work.
