The Truth About Emotional Pain

Our emotional body can fluctuate between BEing open and closed. When we live in reactivity, fear, or avoidance or denial, we by-pass our deepest pain and create a coat of armor around our wound. Emotional pain is held in place through separating from our True Self and identifying with old hurt. Like a sea anemone that can open and close at the slightest touch or change in environment, you too can respond from a sensation or an emotional trigger, rather than from whole awareness. To mend emotional pain, you must love the pain, recognize your emotional response and reaction, and choose to open through the pain instead. The truth about emotional pain is that it is a catalyst to entering, discovering, and connecting with your True Self. Emotional pain is one of the most powerful teachers there is to initiate positive change and self-realization.
