It’s time to balance our energy centers! In the first episode of this series of meditations, we will focus on the first of the seven main energy centers, the root chakra. The root chakra is located at the base of our spine and it is the link between our energy field and the physical world, whole it is the source of our vital energy. It is the center that gives us the motivation to meet our basic needs. Our self esteem and the sense of belonging are directly connected with this energy center. When it’s balanced we feel trustful towards ourselves and others, we feel secure for the material goods and money and a deep connection with mother earth, while accepting the life lessons joyfully. When the root chakra is unbalanced, quite often we have low energy, and we feel anxious, worry, depression , survival agony, a continuous worry about money or we become greedy. Keep in mind to feel grounded while walking. Drink enough water and never forget to play, laugh, dance and do things you love, staying in the present moment! Be amused by the joy of life. If you have any crystals related with this chakra such as red jasper, garnet, hematite or bloodstone, you can keep them close to you or hold them during this meditation. Find a quiet place, close your cell phone or whatever distracts you and dedicate these minutes to yourself. If you are driving or doing something that needs your attention, please download it and listen to it when it’s time to relax. If you are pregnant and feel some discomfort, you can save this meditation and practice it after giving birth. Enjoy! Written by Nikoleta Kounenidaki, Chryssa Kourenta.
