This episode discusses the use of communication tools to prevent bad communication in domestic setting that far too often fall into arguing, yelling and intimidating tones and body language and even to the extremes of destructiveness and violence. The use of the tools of "getting down on their level" is not just a simplifying the message, it is a control of distance "proxemics" body movements "haptics" and speed of physical interaction. These are critical details when teaching our babies, toddlers and school aged "little ones". The key term is "little" versus a full grown adult in a stressful communication event that can prove intimidating and even terrifying. Levelling up our parental communication game is the goal.
