She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet the specific needs of each individual. Dr. Sheftel has experience working as a VA psychologist and expertise providing the gold standard in research based PTSD treatment, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Dr. Sheftel works with adolescents and adults in the office, community, and home-based settings.
