Iona Holloway on how to lose your mind and find your creativity
Manage episode 351410640 series 2928023
How do you clear creative blocks? How do you clear anxiety and let go of fear so you can take on your next big challenge? Iona Holloway is here to show us how breathwork might be a more potent solution to these problems than a decade of therapy.
Iona is a creative inner work coach, #1 best-selling author, a former All-American Athlete, and the voice behind Soul Breathwork. She helps high performers clear blindspots and shift from precious to prolific in their life, work, and relationships, and has helped some of them get off anxiety meds and heal from eating disorders. Her story of recovery is incredible, and I'm excited to have her on the podcast to share her passion for this modality.
If you're unfamiliar with breathwork, it is a potent practice where you use breathing patterns and holds to quiet your mind, clear stuck emotion, and take life by the scruff (these are Iona's awesome words!) A great breathwork facilitator teaches you to speak your body's language through the breath, allowing you to change how you think and feel much quicker than the logical part of your brain.
This could not be a more exciting episode to kick off season 4, as I am deep into becoming a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator myself. In this episode, Iona and I discuss our own experiences with the practice, and how powerfully it has transformed our lives. Definitely check out her app and website via the links below:
