We have all heard statements like, "Get out of that sun, you don’t want to get too dark", Or maybe you have heard, light-skinned Black people being described as redbone, high-yellow, light bright; and dark-skinned Black people being described as dark, black, purple, chocolate, charcoal, or midnight. Has anyone ever told you that you are “Pretty for a dark-skinned girl?” Maybe you've heard that " You acting light skin".
