Today Caitlin is talking about all the things they don't tell you about your pelvic floor (and why you should care about it)! Your pelvic floor is the muscle and connective tissue running from the pubic bone at the front of your body to your tail bone and it place a variety of extremely important roles. 1. Preventing leakage of urine and feces. 2. Supports and holds up your internal organs (your bladder, bowl and uterus). 3. Has a really large role in sexual pleasure and orgasms. Being in charge of all of those things, it doesn’t make sense as to why we seem to “forget” about our pelvic floor health. In this episode, Caitlin opens up the conversation about the reality of what can happen when things go wrong with your pelvic floor, how you can heal it when they do, but also the things you can do to prevent facing issues all together.
