Overview:

Depression can grip so many of us at one time or another. In fact, there are many ways that it has come over each of us. In today’s episode, we take a look at what depression is, who it affects, and what it looks like. We set the stage for some ways that depression tends to show up that we don’t typically think of.

What We’ll Learn:

We explore the common themes we see with depression. Many of the struggles people have with depression are not well known and often leave people feeling isolated and helpless or even misunderstood and shunned. Our big takeaway today is getting a sense of how depression affects us and our loved ones who are dealing with it. This prepares us for next week’s episode on how to manage it.
